Condolence: I will always miss my Uncle Stan, and was saddened to hear of his passing. He was so nice to all of the Mitchell brothers, and hope my late mother Mary and Uncle Roy will be with him up in heaven now.
Condolence: Deepest condolences to all the family of Stan. He will be dearly missed by so many at Prince of Peace Parish where Stan was a fixture at our daily Masses. He also faithfully attended our weekly Lectionary Bible Study each Friday morning. Stan was truly a "man of the Word" as he would spent the entire week in preparation by praying over the Sunday Scriptures and then sharing his Godly insights with us in word and print. Stan was also a faithful member of our weekly Cenacle For Life Rosary Group that met to pray two rosaries each week for an end to abortion and all atrocities committed against the sacred dignity of human life. He was definitely one of the most devout, sincere and prayerful intercessors we have had the privilege to meet. I was able to share Holy Communion with him the morning before he left Mercy Hospital. His parting words to me were always: "I just want to be close to Jesus." Now and forever, Stan will be close to Jesus....may he pray for us until we meet again!!
