Thomas Stanley Emerson (Stan), Born July 1, 1934 passed away Saturday July 16, 2016 peacefully at the home of his loving Sister Jacie Arnold and has been taken up to Heaven in the arms of the angels. Stan was born in Grand Rapids Michigan, attended the University of Michigan where he earned his master degree, and spent most of his working career as an Aerospace Engineer on the West Coast in California.

Stan was a major contributor to the Apollo space program and the Stealth Bomber Program. His contributions to his Country were great and Stan handled it in his normal humble and quiet way.

A devout Catholic Stan attended mass daily and believed in his Faith wholeheartedly. His charity and grace were recognized and appreciated by all the lives he touched in his time with us on earth. Stan’s prayers were for all of us who remain and he will be missed his dearly. He was blessed himself in the end to be in the care of his beloved niece Margaret and finally at home to pass peacefully in his sleep.

Stan is survived by his sister Jacie Arnold of Ludington MI, Sister-in-Law Helen Emerson of Grand Rapids MI and several Nephews and Nieces all over the country whose lives he took pride in being a part of.

Proceeding Stan in death are Brother Roy Emerson, Sister Mary Anne Emerson and Nephew Thomas Mitchell.

Graveside Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday July 20, 2016, with Father Wayne Wheeler officiating at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington MI. Memorial contributions can be directed to the Haiti Group at St. Simon Church.
