Obituary for Kenneth Paul Vallie

Kenneth Paul Vallie, Age 69 of Manistee died Friday, July 28, 2017 at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital.
He was born on December 26, 1947 in Muskegon, MI the son of the late Kenneth Walter & Rose E. (Stefanich) Vallie. He was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School and a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army. He married Carol Ann LaVigne on January 26, 1974 in Muskegon.
Ken was employed as an industrial engineer by Lockheed Martin (NASA) from 1978 to 2007. He also served as a Deputy Sheriff in St. Bernard Parish in Louisiana for 8 years.
He was a Patron Member of the NRA and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was an expert in the field of firearms and marksmanship, and also enjoyed stamp collecting.
Survivors include his wife; Carol Ann Vallie of Manistee, one son; Richard (Wendi) Vallie of St. Louis, MO, One daughter; Mary Vallie Bergeron of New Orleans, LA,6 grandchildren, 1` great grandchild, one sister; Chris (Mark) Vallie-Brown of Muskegon, three brothers; Roy (Ellen) Vallie of Colorado, Mark Vallie of Montana, and Walt Vallie of Muskegon. Nieces and nephews also survive.
He was also preceded in death by daughter; Dawn Weller in 2000, and a brother & sister-in-law; Gene and Mary Ann Vallie, and an infant sister; Sharon Rose Vallie.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 12:00 Noon– 4:00 PM at 7719 Guenthardt Road, Manistee, MI 49660. Dress is casual. Military Honors by the Manistee United Veterans Council will be at 1:30 P.M.
Memorials in Ken’s name may be directed to “Honor Flight”.
