She was born on December 8, 1927 in Luzerne, PA the daughter of the late Anthony & Anna (Yalick) Klasan. Mary grew up in the heart of Detroit. She loved the town and all the things it could offer. One of those service men, by the name of Louis, asked Mary out on a date to the local circus. Several months later Mary & Louis married. They had two sons. Mary and her husband worked hard so they could send both of their sons to college to pursue medical degrees. Mary loved spending time in the kitchen baking cakes and cookies. There were always wonderful smells coming from her kitchen. Mary passed the love of baking onto her granddaughters. In her later years she enjoyed watching Matlock and cowboy movies on TV.
