Obituary for Mary Borenitsch

Mary Borenitsch
Mary Borenitsch, Age 90 of Manistee died Monday, June 18, 2018 at her home.
She was born on December 8, 1927 in Luzerne, PA the daughter of the late Anthony & Anna (Yalick) Klasan. Mary grew up in the heart of Detroit. She loved the town and all the things it could offer. Mary’s first job was working for the government employment service. She would help find jobs and housing for the service men as they returned home. One of those service men, by the name of Louis, asked Mary out on a date to the local circus. Several months later Mary & Louis married. They had two sons. Mary and her husband worked hard so they could send both of their sons to college to pursue medical degrees. Mary loved spending time in the kitchen baking cakes and cookies. There were always wonderful smells coming from her kitchen. Mary passed the love of baking onto her granddaughters. In her later years she enjoyed watching Matlock and cowboy movies on TV. Her husband Louis preceded her in death in November of 2004.
Mary is survived by her two sons; Robert (Dana) Borenitsch, DO and Kenneth (Janice) Borenitsch, DO, four grandchildren; Michael Borenitsch, DO, Amy (Kyle) VanDer Haag, Katie (Jon) Wieringa, and Bryan (Jayne) Borenitsch, DC, seven great grandchildren, and one sister; Antoinette Bosnic.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee with Father Larry Sergott officiating. Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service.
The family entrusted the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Manistee with Funeral Arrangements.
