Betty Jean Schultz, Age 93 of Manistee died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility.
She was born on August 24, 1924 in Manistee, the daughter of the late John & Ella (Schubring) Schweitzer. She married Clarence Joseph Schultz on May 11, 1957 in Manistee. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2016.
Betty had been employed for many years at Jebavy-Sorenson Orchards. She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Betty was a “Bingo Queen” as well as enjoying flower gardening.
Survivors include her three sons: Kenneth Schweitzer, Clarence Schultz, and Rick (Teri) Schultz all of Manistee, six grandchildren; Benjamin, Andrew, Amanda, Aaron, & Justin Schultz, and Kyle Schweitzer, and 12 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son; Dwayne Schultz, and her siblings; John, Jr. & Roger Schweitzer, Marjorie Nice, Janice Stamp, Phyllis Raspotnik, Nancy Wise, and Maxine Barch.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee with Reverend Kevin McClain officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until time of service.
