Jennifer Marie Johnson, age 29, of Ludington passed away Friday, November 10, 2017. She was born January 5, 1988 in Ludington to Kim and Lori (Rathbun) Johnson.
Jen graduated from Ludington High School in 2007. She went on to receive her Associate’s degree from the University of Phoenix in 2012 and later her Bachelors of Science in Software Engineering from Colorado Tech. University in 2016. She worked as a tutor.
Jen was a very active member of the Community of Christ Church. Jen was a computer nerd at heart and loved tinkering with them whenever she could. She loved watching movies with her fiancé, Adam. Jen was one of the most kind-hearted people, she never had a negative thing to say about anyone and she loved everyone she met. A true Christian, she had a hug and a smile for anyone who needed it. Her family was everything to her, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them.
Jen will be greatly missed by her mother, Lori Rathbun, her sister, Jammie (Jeremy) O’Bryan, her nieces: Cheyenne and Savannah Robbins, her aunts, Janice (Dick) Boon and Connie (Bob) Anderson, her fiancé, Adam Smith, her family friend, Dan Peterson, many extended family and friends, and her beloved kitty, Jasmine.
Jen was preceded in death by her father, Kim Johnson, her maternal grandparents Shirley (Marcella) Rathbun, her paternal grandparents Leonard (Ardith) Johnson.
A Celebration of Jen’s life will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Community of Christ Church, 201 James St., Ludington.
Memorial contributions in Jen’s name may be directed to the church or the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Ludington.
