Terry Lee Cholette, 74 of Copemish died Sunday, October 1, 2017
He was born on July 18, 1943 in Wyandotte, Michigan, the son of the late Joseph V. & Ruth J. (Pownall) Cholette. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam Era 1961 to 1965.
Terry was a mechanical contractor and a Pipefitter from Local 636, Detroit. He also owned and operated C & H Piping in Romulus and TL Cholette in Westland. Terry had many successful business opportunities in his career.
Terry made maple syrup and loved working in his garden. His love for hunting and fishing allowed him to travel extensively. He was a member of St Raphael Church, Copemish. He was a member of the Marilla Historical Society, and a volunteer at Manistee County Fair 4-H auctions. Terry was a beloved member of his community.
Survivors include his wife; Phyllis E. Cholette of Copemish, sons; Grieg Cholette of Rockwood, Scott Cholette of Lincoln Park, & Julian (Jennifer) Murphy of Taylor, one daughter; Tara (Corey) Maslowski of Traverse City, grandchildren; Heather, Jude, Robin, & Gaige, thr
ee sisters; Cheri (Walt) Chrapko, Karen (Rick) Humerich, & Nancy (Tom) Gardner, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his son Marc Cholette and his Sister Diane Andrus.
A Celebration will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 2-6 PM at the Marilla Township Hall, 9991 Marilla Road, and Copemish.
