Diane Louise Courtland, 66, of Ludington, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones on March 4, 2017 after a courageous battle against cancer. She was born on July 4, 1950 in Muskegon, MI. She was the daughter of Leroy and Bonnie Cross. She attended Wolf Lake High School and Baker College.
Diane met the love of her life, Roger Courtland, in June of 1982 and was they were married at St. James Catholic Church in Montague on June 4, 1983. They celebrated 33 years of wedded bliss.
Diane enjoyed participating in many activities with her husband. She loved dancing and attending music festivals. They spent many years camping and were even full time campers for a few years. Diane loved crafting and many family members were blessed with beautiful hand sewn Christmas stocking. However, her greatest joy was being in the presence of her family. She was an extraordinary mother who deeply loved her son, Todd Courtland, and her step-children, Jay and Kellie Courtland.
Aside from her husband and children she will also be greatly missed by her siblings, Barbara, Sharon, Nancy and Randy, her father-in-law, William Courtland, sister-in-law Kristie (Kevin) Willick, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parent, mother-in-law, infant daughter, Christy and siblings, Rosie and Richard.
A funeral service will be held at Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Center on March 7, 2017 at 11:00am. Visitation will begin at 10am and a luncheon will be provided following the service.
