Jerry Lee Boroff

Jerry Lee Boroff, age 66 of Ludington and Evart passed away on Tuesday May 10, 2016 in Ludington.

He was born on August 11, 1949 in Flint, son of the late Floyd and Katherine (Sharp) Boroff. Jerry attended both Clio High School and Ludington High School. On May 19, 1969 Jerry was drafted into the United States Army, serving until his honorable discharge on May 13, 1971.

Jerry married Pamela Lynn Cole in 1969. She preceded him in death in 1999. He worked as a Relief Manager at General Motors for 17 years. He was a member of the Evart Moose Club in Evart, MI, and the UAW Union.

He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and friends, hunting and working on vehicles and machines.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Tricia (Charlie Valente) Boroff of Ludington; son, Jeffery (Amy Molina) Boroff of Evart; grandchildren, Maleah, Zachary, Anniesa and Mariesa Molina; great-grandchildren, Carson Kenneth and Kendyl Lee; brother, Bill (Sue) Boroff of Grand Rapids; 2 sisters, Shirley Thurston of Scottville and Glenna Kusky of Sears; sister-in-law, Pat Boroff of Clio; brother-in-law, Glen Rosenberger of Owosso; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Boroff; 3 sisters and 4 brother-in-law’s, Linda and Gary Schultz, Dorothy and Chuck Burnett, Beverly Rosenberger, Kenneth Thurston and Ed Kusky.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday May 14, 2016 at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington with Pastor Joe Hilyard officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until time of service.

Memory contributions in memory of Jerry may be directed to either Hospice of Michigan or the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).

Special thanks to Hospice of Michigan, Foot and Ankle Clinic of West Michigan and the many friends and family for their support and kindness of your hearts as I cared for my Father. Charlie Valente, you are amazing and my rock! I could not have cared for my father without everyone’s support.
