Obituary for Donald Ray "Frosty" Feldhak

Donald Ray “Frosty” Feldhak passed away on December 26, 2022, at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital. He was 88 years old.

He was born in 1934 to Forest and Ada (Archer) Feldhak in Farmington, Michigan. His family moved to Onekama when he was in 6th grade. During his high school years at Onekama, he played basketball and baseball all while he had perfect attendance the last four years. After his high school days, Frosty still played these sports plus slow-pitch ball.

Frosty worked at the Iron Works before going to Century Boat where he worked for 33 years before they shut down. He worked at County Highlands Golf Club before retiring.

He was a member of the Manistee National Guard for several years and was also a member of the Onekama Lions Club.

He leaves to survive him, his wife Sandy who he married in 1958; they were married for 64 years last September. They liked to travel and went to many interesting places.

Survivors also include his two nieces Char Bolles and Deb Gutowski; brother-in-law David Olson; sisters-in-law Sylvia Harju and Jo Olson; brother-in-law John Niesen; and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Frosty was preceded in death by his parents Forest and Ada; his sister Barbara and brother-in-law Gordon Anderson; his father and mother-in-law Clarence and Dorothy Olson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Darwin and Pat Olson, Duane and Pat Olson, Daniel Olson, Edward Olson, Bruce Olson, Elwyn Harju, Jean Olson and Kreybel Niesen.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at the Onekama Village Cemetery for family and close friends.
