Obituary for Dorean Helen Power (Gardella)
Dorean Helen Power, age 93 of Irons, formerly of Dunnellon, Florida died Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility with her daughters by her side.
She was born on November 25, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Basil Fredrick & Helen (Vanderski) Gardella. She married Philip E. Power, Jr on March 1, 1948, in Detroit. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1987.
Dorean mostly enjoyed cooking and entertaining with family and friends. She also loved playing cards in Florida and Michigan with her card clubs. Dorean liked to grow her flowers and be outside enjoying the sunshine. Sewing, crafting, and crocheting were among her hobbies.
She lived a full life and enriched the lives of everyone in her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring woman.
Survivors include her daughters; Linda Estes and Vicki (Ed) Kopfman of Irons, grandchildren; Aaron (Nicole) Estes, Amy (Tom) Heisner, & Jill (John Bennett) Jensen, and great grandchildren; Stella & Harrison Estes, Hunter & Pyper Heisner, and Adele & Ottilia Bennett.
Dorean is also survived by special friends in Dunnellon: Harry Weber, Sr., Sharon Fitzgerald, Harry & Terry Weber, Jr., Jody Weber, & Casey Goss.
She was also preceded in death by sons-in-law; Harry Estes & Terry Jensen and her brother; Fred Gardella.
Memorial Services for Dorean will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Faith Fellowship Church in Irons with Pastor Kendale Dennis Officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be from 11:00AM until the service starts at 12:00 noon with a luncheon to follow.
