Obituary for Harley Richard "Rick" Dickason

Rick Dickason, age 78 of Manistee, passed away on Saturday January 14, 2023 in the comfort of his home.

He was born on July 22, 1944 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Richard and Beulah (Caldwell) Dickason. He attended Angel Elementary School, Tappan Junior High, and Ann Arbor High School. Rick went on to study at Eastern Michigan University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in 1972 and Master of Arts – Mathematics in 1976.

Rick proudly served his country in the United States Navy in Vietnam before being honorably discharged in 1965. He worked for Bendix and for the Central Intelligence Agency in electronics and communications for 33 years before retiring on July 31, 1994.

He helped a lot with the S.S. City of Milwaukee in his free time, which he absolutely loved. He was also a loyal Michigan fan throughout the years.

Rick is survived by his sister Edith A. Berry of Ann Arbor; brother Roger Dickason of Eugene, Oregon; niece Dawn A. (Scott) Berry-Nath of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; great niece Katie L. (Cole) Stichler of Omaha, Nebraska; and great-great nephews Trevor K. and Brody G. Stichler of Omaha, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Beulah Dickason.

There will be no services at this time.
