Obituary for Charlotte C. Bhaskaran (Gustafson)
Charlotte (Gustafson) Bhaskaran, age 82, passed away on November 9 th after a year long battle with
stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
Charlotte met T. Anath Bhaskaran while they were both students at Western Michigan University and they were married on January 28, 1961. After growing up outside Ludington, MI, Charlotte lived in Beaconsfield, England, Syracuse, New York, and Grand Rapids, MI, before settling in Manistee in 1974. Char was an avid gardener, quilter, and painter, and a lifelong learner. She also found joy in spending time with her family, her poodles, her friends and neighbors .She was a friend to all, accepting people just as they are, and supporting them in whatever way they needed. She was a good listener, and always had some advice/wisdom to share.
Charlotte is survived by her children, David (Maureen) of Rochester, MN, Dennis (Cheryl) of Grand
Rapids, MI, and Karen of Manistee, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two brothers. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Anath, and her parents.
