Obituary for Casey Matthew Allen Somsel
Casey Matthew Allen Somsel, age 38 passed away September 15, 2022 from cancer.
Casey was the son of Dewey & Donna Somsel. He graduated from Manistee High School in 2003, and attended West Shore Community College. He moved to Hawaii, Minnesota, and then to Oregon where he owned Paper Crane Tattoo Studio in Bend. Many people carry Casey’s art with them every day. His gentleness, creative spirit, and ability to connect with people set him apart as a truly unique soul. He will be especially remembered for all the beautiful art work he has left here. Casey loved spending time with his family and friends, living life to the fullest.
In addition to his parents Casey is survived by his siblings; Justin, Travis (Faith), Billie, Michael, Heather, & Bobbilyn, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lifelong friends; Becky & Tristen Newman and Justin Miller.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, October 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee with Father Basil Lek celebrant.
