Obituary for Lawrence Lytle Jr.

Lawrence Lytle, Jr., age 81 of Manistee, peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home on Monday June 13, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.
Lawrence was born on April 23, 1941, in Manistee, MI, the son of Lawrence and Clara (Peisert) Lytle. He graduated from Manistee High School, class of 1959. Shortly after graduating, he went on to serve in the Army National Guard until he was honorably discharged. On March 18, 1961, he married Patricia Willard at the Manistee United Methodist Church and they shared 61 years together.
He worked at Martin Marietta for 15 years and was a supervisor until he retired in 1989.
Lawrence was a member of Pentecostal Assembly of Free Soil.
There were many things that Lawrence enjoyed. He loved playing cards and board games, riding motorcycles, walking whether it was on the treadmill or outside, and riding the stationary bike. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Patricia; children Pam (Ray) Haner of Free Soil, Paul (Marie) Lytle of Eastlake, and Tracey (Vince) Haner of Manistee; brothers Bill Lytle and Harold Lytle both of Manistee; grandchildren Leena Lytle, Krista (Luke) Edmondson, David (Aleshia) Haner, Jessica (DuWane Maidens) Nicklesen, Lawrence Nicklesen, and Rachel (Arturo) Charles; great-grandchildren Kairi, Leo, Emmett, and Maelynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Clara Lytle; his brothers George Lytle and Kenneth Lytle; sisters Juanita Cole; brothers-in-law Ralph Cole, James Willard, and Felix Dalke; sisters-in-law Betty Lytle, Betty Libbey, Barb Willard, Shirley Peterson, Josephine Dalke, and Sandra Fink; and mother-in-law Daisy McIntyre.
A memorial service for Lawrence will be held on Thursday June 16, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee with Pastor Raymond E. Haner officiating. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A luncheon will follow.
