Obituary for Arlene Joyce Klein (Shineldecker)
Arlene Joyce Klein, age 87, of Manistee, peacefully passed away on Tuesday April 26, 2022, at Medilodge of Traverse City.
She was born on December 22, 1934, in Bitely, Michigan, the daughter of the late Zeke and Goldie (McGhan) Shineldecker. She attended Baldwin Public Schools.
Arlene was a member of Faith Covenant Church in Manistee.
Arlene enjoyed hunting, traveling, and gardening flowers. She was an active participant in the Klein Rodeo for many years in Sparta, Michigan. Arlene loved children and spending as much time with her family as she could.
She is going to be missed by her children Ron (Debra) Nalley, Dan (Loida) Arnold, Rosemary (Doug) Fast, Susan Hawley, and Diane Hawley; numerous grandchildren; siblings Louis Shineldecker, Shirley Shineldecker, and Connie Shineldecker; and many other family and friends.
Besides for her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her siblings Billy Shineldecker, Judy Walker, Hazel Ham, and Betty Giddings.
A memorial service for Arlene will be held on Friday May 6, 2022, at 7:00 PM at Faith Covenant Church in Manistee. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Faith Covenant Church, 475 8th Street, Manistee, MI 49660, in Arlene’s name.
