Obituary for Darlene Louise Carey
Darlene Louise Carey, age 69, of Manistee, passed away on Thursday November 25, 2021, at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital.
Darlene was born on August 21, 1952, in Manistee, Michigan, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Florence (Gauthier) Pruski. She graduated from Manistee High School, class of 1970. Darlene was a Nurse’s Aide at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City before retiring in 2015.
She was a member of the Tabernacle Church in Manistee.
Darlene cared for cats and enjoyed spending her time gardening and canning.
Darlene will be missed by her sisters Carol McIntosh-Lieffers of Traverse City, Jo Ellen Sandstedt of Traverse City, and Christie Stabile of Phoenix, AZ; her eight nieces and nephews Kevin (Wendy) McIntosh, Michele (Terry) McIntosh VanKleek, Jason (Jenny) McIntosh, Christopher Wilsens, Matthew Mazany, Morgan, Sarah, and Hannah Stabile; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Besides for her parents, Kenneth and Florence, Darlene is preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Michael McIntosh and Paul Wilsens and her niece Melissa Wilsens.
A memorial service is planned for June of 2022, but service information is still to be determined.
