Obituary for Bonnie Jean Haner (Colegrove)

Bonnie Jean Haner, age 89 of Manistee, passed away on Tuesday June 8, 2021 at Samaritas Senior Living in Cadillac.

Bonnie was born on February 20, 1932, in Grand Rapids, daughter of the late Arthur Lloyd and Violet Jean (Eastman) Colegrove. Bonnie married Richard Samuel Haner on November 1, 1951 in Grand Rapids at the Missionary Church.

She worked at the Holland American Wafer Company in Grand Rapids for many years. Bonnie was a member of the Pentecostal Assembly of Free Soil and loved to crochet, read, make Afghans, and loved to sing in church.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Richard Haner of Manistee; 8 children, Rick (Brenda) Haner, Laura Haner, Michael (Mary) Haner, John (Roberta) Haner, Victoria (Gary) Harvey, Vincent (Tracey) Haner, Joeliene (Rui) Cardoso and Geri Haner; brothers, Charles (Laura) Colegrove, Edwin (Sheila) Colegrove, Harold (Mary) Colegrove, Herman Colegrove, and Eugene (Leah) Colegrove; sisters, Esther Colegrove-Anderson and Ruth Edwards; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judith at birth; sisters, Mary Frizzell, Dorothy Mattson and Shirley Joyce Colegrove.

Funeral services for Bonnie will be held at 5:00PM on Saturday June 12, 2021 at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Manistee with Pastor Ray Haner officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday June 11, 2021 at Oak Grove Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00PM and again on Saturday afternoon from 4:00PM until time of service. Final interment will be at Spencer Mills Cemetery in Kent County.
