Michael Clarence Stewart, “Meathead”, age 74 of Wellston died at his home on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his home.

He was born on January 16, 1947 in Garden City, Michigan the son of the late Clarence E. & Vera Dolly (Morris) Stewart. He was a graduate of Huron High School in New Boston, MI and earned a Bachelors Degree from Monroe County Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. On November 16, 1972 he married Sue Wentworth in Dundee, Michigan.

Michael was employed as a corrections officer by Monroe County and also served a Sherriff’s Deputy in Carleton.
He was a Life Member of The VFW (Baldwin Post). He loved to hunt, was an avid Michigan and Detroit Tiger Fan, enjoyed his trips to the casino, and was a “Jack Daniels” man.

Survivors include his wife; Sue, one daughter; Leann Steward (Jon) of Muskegon, Two Granddaughters Chelsea & Breanna, two great granddaughters; Brandi & Allison, two sisters; Robbin Heiss and Becky (Jim) Finch, as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother; Anthony Jack Stewart.
