Obituary for Ralph L. Clark

Ralph Leonard Clark, son of Margaret Ashley Moreland (Clark) and Ralph L. Clark, passed away at home on Sunday January 24, 2021. He was 91 years old.

He was born on October 19, 1929 in Crandon, WI. Ralph married Doris Hopkins on September 6, 1952. Together they lived in Farmington, MI until 1956, then moving to Troy, MI when they bought their first home. Upon retiring in 2000, Ralph and Doris moved to Arcadia and wintered in Seabring, FL for the last seven years.

Ralph and Doris had 5 children; twin sons, Ralph Linden and Robert Leon; daughters Valerie Lynn and Nola Jean; son Wayne LaVern; 6 grandchildren, Steven (Billie) Kirback, Danielle (James) Frericks, Angela (Brandon) Susalla, Ralph “Lee” (Mary) Clark, Sadie Johnson and Luke Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren,
Tobyn, Zavier, Desmond, Kassidy, Emma, Ellie, Ava, Jada, Emanual, William, Juhrne, and Sabre.

Ralph’s career started at a tool and die shop. He then moved on to become a mechanic for the City of Troy. From there he was head mechanic at Dunn & Mavis. He later studied for and received a building license to move into the building trades. He also managed a railroad yard in Warren, MI.

No service is planned, and cremation has taken place. Final interment will be at Blaine Township Cemetery. Please feel free to share a memory or photo with the family at www.oakgrovefh.com. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements with Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Manistee.
