Obituary for Ronald Bruce Joslyn

It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald B. Joslyn announces his passing on December 28, 2020.

He was born in Flint, Michigan the son of Jack & Anna Joslyn. He was later joined by three brothers; Tom, Pat, & John. Childhood was spent in numerous places around Michigan from Escanaba to the Lansing area. After retiring from the USDA in 1998 he moved from the St. Johns area to Onekama to enjoy the “Up North” life. Soon after he and Jan discovered the fun of winter in Florida and bought a home in Englewood. They enjoyed this MI/FL lifestyle for 20 years. Ron was very active with the Lions Club and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life – family, friends, fishing, deer camps, U-M Football, the Green Bay Packers, camping, a good Manhattan, and especially ice cream. He was the family storyteller – always a story or a joke to pass along.

Ron is survived by his wife Janet; sons: Bruce & Danny (Karie); daughters: Louanne (Stan) and Tonya; step-daughter: Cydnee (Tim); and brother: Patrick (Judy). Also surviving are grandchildren: Andy (Sarah), Amy (Patrick), Ashley (Chris), Brock (Lea), Nikki, Matthew, and Dayton. Also great grandchildren: Eli, Teddy, Mariah, Austin, Chance, Ethan, Dylan, Clayton, & Vanessa
.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tom & John; step-father, Jack Walker; stepson, Tom; and niece, Susan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 7, 2021 at Saint Jude Catholic Church in Dewitt at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 Am until time of service.
