Obituary for Irene Kay Knight (Smith)
Irene Kay Knight, age 74 of Manistee died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Wednesday morning December 9, 2020.
She was born on December 12, 1945 in San Francisco, CA the daughter of the late Charles Edward & Bettie Lucile (Santens) Smith. Irene married James E. Knight on August 8, 1998 in Littleton, Colorado.
Irene was a dedicated K-12 educator in Texas and Colorado for more than 37 years.
She is survived by her husband; James E. Knight of Manistee; her son & daughter-in-law; Parker James and Diane Faut of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; her daughter and son-in-law; Sharlyn & Tracy Metsker also of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; five grandchildren: Alison (15) & Martin (15) Faut, Kellen (14), Edward (11), & Abigail (11) Metsker; her sister; Diana Smith of Fresno, California; and the father of her children; James L. Faut.
No public services are planned. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee.
