Obituary for Clifford Allen Veine
Clifford Allen Veine, Age 85 of Eastlake died Tuesday evening June 25, 2019 at his home.
He was born on January 1, 1934 in Eastlake, MI the son of the late Edward L. & Flora E. (Mapes) Veine. He was a graduate of Manistee High School Class of 1953. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on the USS Saint Paul (CA73) ported in Long Beach, California. On November 23, 1957 he married Charlotte I. Bladzik in Manistee. After his discharge in 1959 he was employed at Martin Marietta until his retirement in 1996.
Cliff was a member of Divine Mercy Parish (St. Joseph Church), VFW Walsh Post #4499, the Eastlake Fire Department, and past member of American Legion Post #10.
He is survived by his wife; Charlotte I. Veine of Eastlake, five children; Jeffrey (Janet) Veine of Spring Lake, Colette Arradaza of Eastlake, Michele (Mike) Wright of Valencia, CA, Eric (Tracey) Veine of Wixom, and Jason (April) Veine of Manistee, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and special niece Janice Revolt.
He was also preceded in death by 5 brothers; Leonard, Gordon, Richard, Henry, Edward, & Gerald Veine, and by three sisters; Goldie Gilbert, Loretta Amerell, and Shirley Williams.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, July 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee with Father Zeljko Guberovic officiating. Military Honors will follow. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
