Obituary for Joseph Raymond O'Neil
Joseph Raymond O’Neil, Age 75, of Manistee passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at his home.
He was born on July 9, 1943 in Hesperia, MI the son of the late John Raymond & Helen (Krumal) O’Neil. Joe served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On December 27, 1976 he married Patricia Ann O’Dell in Manistee. She preceded him in death on November 29, 2010.
Joe was employed as a mechanic for over 30 years, most recently at James Tire in Ludington. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his son Joseph L. (Destiny) O’Neil of Manistee, daughter; Penny (Rob) Cornett of Florida, six grandchildren; London M, Jasper L, Cheyann, Olivia, & Khloe O’Neil of Manistee and Catelyn Cornett of Florida, brothers; Bob (Celia), John, & Pete O’Neil all of Hesperia, and Mike (Suzie) Lange of Custer, and sister; Kathy O’Neil of Grand Rapids.
Joe was also preceded in death by two brothers; Tom & Richard O’Neil.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Joe’s home. The celebration will begin at 1:30 PM with Military Honors by the Manistee United Veterans Council at 2:00 PM.
