Obituary for Beverly Jean Peterson
Beverly Jean Peterson, age 93 of Onekama died Thursday, January 10, 2019 peacefully at The Pines in Frankfort.
She was born on September 13, 1925 in Detroit, MI and was the daughter of the late Otis & Ivah (Erickson) Anderson. She was a graduate of Arcadia High School. She married John Victor Peterson on June 15, 1986 at the Onekama Church of the Brethren.
She was a member of the Onekama Church of the Brethren. Bev enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include step-daughters; Hazel Evans of Frankfort, Vivian Westphal of Kalamazoo, Janet Basil of Duluth, MN and a step-son, Robert Smeltzer of Florida, special brother-in-law, Glen Van Brocklin of Onekama, special nieces; Cindy (Leif) Anderson of Clarkston and her family, Tami Van Brocklin of Traverse City, special nephew Rusty (Leanne) Van Brocklin of Onekama and his family, as well as by numerous cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her husband and a special sister; Winona Marion Van Brocklin , step-daughter Virginia Westphal and step-son Jon Peterson.
Funeral Services for Beverly Jean Peterson will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Onekama Church of the Brethren with Pastor Frances Townsend officiating. Burial will be in the Onekama Village Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service.
