Carl David Stone, Jr. “Makwa Naa-Nee-Bwin”, Age 54 of Manistee died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at his home.
He was born on June 7, 1964 in Muskegon the son of Carl David Stone, Sr. and the late Doris Joan (Pabami) Stone. He was a graduate of Muskegon High School Class of 1982. He was the schools team mascot “Big Red”. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982 to 1986 and later founded the Marine 2/7 COMM/PLT Reunions. Carl married the love of his life; Debi Cooper on August 23, 2009 in Lansing.
Carl began his career with the Little River Casino Resort in 2005. He was a proud member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, a member of the LRBOI Warrior Society, & co-founder of the Grand Traverse 4 Wheel Drive Club. He enjoyed kayaking, several Jeep excursions including the Annual Jeep The Mac, and Jeep Beach in Daytona Beach, FL, and his fur babies Harley & Marley. He also participated in the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics with his sister Charmaine Stone.
Survivors include his wife; Debi Stone, his father; Carl David Stone, Sr, siblings; Mildred (Oscar) Ramsey, John (Kerry) Pabami, & Charmaine Stone, step-children; Nathan (Erin ) Stott and Dana Stott, grandchildren; Austin, Alivia, Alex, Blake, Cooper, & Delaney, in-laws; Dona (Ray) Williams, Richard (Debbie) Cooper, & Shelley (Gary) Slee several nieces and nephews including; Cheyenne, Autumn, John, & Angelo Cruz, Loni (Cruz) Hernandez, Sean Michael & Isaiah Thomas Stone, & Justin Pabami as well as several great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Carl D. Stone, Jr. will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM at the Little River Casino Resort in Manistee. Military Honors will be held beginning at 1:00 PM followed by formal services.
