Susan Annette Myers, Age 69 of Bear Lake died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Homesteader in Benzonia.

She was born on October 19, 1949 in Frankfort, MI the daughter of the late Mary Ann (DeBlake) Myers and Edwin W. Myers. She was a 1967 graduate of Bear Lake High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University in 1971. Sue was employed a social worker/supervisor by the Michigan Department of Human Services, retiring in 2001.

She was a past member of the West Shore Hospital Board of Directors and served as a volunteer trainer in arthritis education at the hospital. She was an avid golfer and reader who enjoyed time with family & friends - keeping them continuously laughing.

Survivors include her siblings; Lynwood (Char) Myers of Bear Lake, Andy (Maureen) Myers of Greenville, Thom (Patty) Myers of Petoskey, and Sally K. Myers of Bear Lake, nieces & nephew; Meghan, Ian (Annette), Erin, & Amy Myers, great nieces and nephew; Tatum & Talon Anderson, Lauren Pulido-Huber, and Samantha Myers, an aunt; Irene DeBlake of Bear Lake, and numerous cousins.

Memorial Services for Susan Myers will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Manistee. The family will be at the funeral home this Monday evening from 5-7 PM and Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of service to receive friends.
