Lorraine Mae Polcyn, Age 87 of Manistee died Sunday morning August 5, 2018 at Birchwood AFC in Manistee.
She was born on December 11, 1930 in Manistee, MI the daughter of the late Edward & Margaret (Sundbeck) Ax. She was a graduate of Manistee High School Class of 1948. She married Donald A. Polcyn on May 14, 1955 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee. He preceded her in death on August 8, 2013.
Lorraine had been employed as clerk at the Sears Store in Manistee. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Manistee. Along with her husband she enjoyed camping at Crystal Lake in Beulah for many years.
Survivors include two daughters; Susan (Donald) Demeuse of Ludington and Cheryl & Gary Schwaiger of Manistee, four grandchildren; Jessica (Chris) McClure, Nicole (Justin McBride) Demeuse, Kurtis (Angela) Schwaiger, & Emma (Adam) Zawisza, one great granddaughter; Audrey McClure, a niece Janice (James) Miller, and brother-in-law & sister-in-law; Joseph & Hazel Polcyn as well as other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her sister & brother-in-law; Marge and Robert Barker, and a nephew; Eric Barker.
Funeral Services for Lorraine M. Polcyn will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Manistee with Pastor James Friesner officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Manistee. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service.
