Stephen John Johannes, 60 years old, passed away on July 28, 2018 at his home in Wellston, Michigan. Stephen was the loving son of Ted and Pat (Hanson) Johannes and loving brother of Kevin (Stacey), Dawn and Allan (Laurie) Johannes. Stephen was the loving husband of Amy Johannes. Stephen and Amy met Father’s Day weekend of 1971. They began dating March 12, 1976 and were married on March 30, 1977 in Walled Lake, Michigan and were happily married for 41 years.
Stephen was a very loving father to Shane Johannes, who passed away in 2010, Angela Srnka and Randy Johannes. He was a loving father-in-law to Robert Srnka and Sara Durand. He was a wonderful grandfather to ILydia Srnka, Alexander Srnka, Blayne Durand and Lincoln Durand. Stephen was retired from a career in window and door installation. Stephen loved his family and his dog, Buck. He loved canoeing, swimming, fishing, camping, 4-wheel driving on trails, beekeeping and gardening. It seemed he could fix anything. He was very creative with his skills and his wisdom will last on with the lives he touched.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Johannes’s residence: 3707 Peacock Rd. Wellston, MI 49689.
