Obituary for Gustav Paulus "Gus" Storm

Gustav “Gus” Paulus Storm, age 88, of Manistee, Michigan, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his home.
He was born September 2, 1929 in Dearborn, Mi, son of the late Frederich W.E. and Cora (Stenke) Storm. Gustav attended Trinity Lutheran School through 8th grade and went on to graduate from Manistee High School in 1943. He married Robina Lola Hutchinson on December 12, 1953 in Ludington, MI. During his working years, he was employed at the following local businesses; Kroger in Manistee, Manistee Green House, Schultz Printing in Manistee, the Manistee News Advocate, Martin Marrietta and Manistee National Golf Course. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee where he was involved with the Men’s Club, choir and Dart Ball. He was also a founding member of the Manistee Fire Department (1973-2018). He was also involved with Labor for Christ, building churches in several states. Gus enjoyed woodworking, fishing, walking, hiking and being involved with the Boy Scouts.
Gus is survived by his wife Robina l. Storm, children; Shirley Anne (Tom) Lovell of Florida, Carol Sue (John) Peterson of Indiana, Joann Broadwater of Wisconsin, Gustav Fredrick Storm of Muskegon, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters; Mary Ann and Dorothy.
Memorial Services for Gustav P. Storm will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee With Pastor Dennis Rahn officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 AM until time of service.
