Betty Phyllis Hutchinson, 91, of Manistee, passed away on June 28, 2018.

Betty was born on July 22, 1926 in Manistee, the daughter of the late Ival and Esther (Thorpe) Hutchinson. She attended Merritt School and Manistee High School. Betty worked as a fork lift operator for Stone’s Sawmill in Manistee and later in Branch. She enjoyed hunting and spending time with her great granddaughters and great-great grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her granddaughter, Susan (Steve) Amy; great grandchildren, Autumn Adamczak and Ariel (Jordan) Smith; great-great grandchildren, Madison and Jesse; sisters, Joann Hilliard and Delores Widgren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Darwin Hutchinson; brothers, Jerry and Larry Hutchinson; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Hutchinson and Joy Hutchinson; brother-in-law, John Widgren; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Hutchinson; and special friend, Charles Stendel.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington, with visitation starting at 10:00 am. She will be buried at South Victory Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
