Richard “Captain Dick” Boyajian, Age 93 longtime resident and one of the first charter boat captains in Manistee died Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home. He was known for his fishing expertise and was a mentor to many future charter boat operators. A sewer by trade he continued to do boat, car, and canvas repair up until the time of his death.
Dick was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army Air Corps. He also was a member of the Masons.
He is survived by his daughter; Linda Boyajian of Farmington Hills, MI and his dear friend; Tammy Britton.
No Services are planned. Interment will be in White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
Memorials in “Captain Dick’s” Name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
