Obituary for Raymond "Hank" Yeager

Raymond “Hank” Yeager, age 80, of Ludington, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
Hank was born on August 22, 1937 in Ludington, the son of Paul C. and Elverna (DuVall) Yeager. He graduated from Ludington High School in 1955 and joined the workforce. Hank started out as a truck driver, then eventually owned and operated Hank’s Carpet Service, which he eventually passed down to his son. Hank was a natural story teller. He used that gift while he was a charter boat captain for 15 years.
In 1963, Hank and his wife, Georgene, moved to Grand Rapids where they raised their family. 25 years later, they moved back to Ludington. Hank enjoyed fishing and hunting, and could fix just about anything.
Hank is survived by his wife of 58 years, Georgene Yeager; children, Cathie Yeager Schroeder, Diane Yeager Lucas, and David (Margaret) Yeager; grandchildren, Jason Schroeder, Christina (Chris) DeVries, Jamie Lucas, Chandler Gordon, and the twins, Lindsey Lucas and Dr. Casey Lucas; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Lois Larson, Bob (Mary Ann) Yeager, Jim (Grace) Yeager; sister-in-law, Joan DuVall; and many special friends.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clifford DuVall; and brother-in-law, Wesley Larson.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on July 1, 2018 from 1-4 pm at Hamlin Town Hall.
