Obituary for Robin Elizabeth Burrell

Robin Elizabeth Burrell, age 62 of Traverse City, passed away on April 24, 2018.

Robin was born on June 25, 1955 in Detroit, the daughter of Gerald and Shirley (Julian) Dwyer. While she attended school in Detroit, she moved around a lot, never staying in one place too long. Robin enjoyed playing PacMan, computer games and Bingo. She would go dancing at Johnny’s, two-tracking, and enjoy having cookouts. Most of all, Robin loved spending time with her family.

Robin was loving and caring, and made sure her children were taken care of. She was a wonderful grandmother who always had little toys for her grandchildren.

Robin is survived by her life-long partner, John Palmer; children, Larry (Tena) Cory, David (Sara) Burrell, Christine (Lisa House) Burrell, and James (Juanita Edens) Burrell; grandchildren, Brooke, Larry, Ashlee, Tabitha, Madilyn, Harley-Jo, Marilyn, Alecea, Warren, and Charlie; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Gerald Dwyer Jr., David (Yvonne) Dwyer Sr, Tony (Fay) Dwyer Sr, and Terry Mustaikis; and many nieces and nephews.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph Dwyer, Tommy Dwyer, and Harry Dwyer; and great nephew, Baby Mark.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at Oak Grove Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Pere Marquette Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
