Obituary for Diann Lynn Collins

Diann Lynn Collins
Diann Lynn Collins, age 73, of Ludington, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, April 20, 2018.

Diann was born on January 26, 1945 in Ludington, the daughter of Gordon and Cecilia Ledger. She attended Ludington schools until moving to Oklahoma, where the love of her life William Collins was stationed for the United States Air Force. They were married on April 3, 1962, recently celebrating 56 years together.
Diann and her husband were best friends. Together, they enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Just about every weekend, they could be found dancing the night away at one of the local establishments. Diann was so proud of her hard-working husband. When he would arrive home from work, dinner was made, and she was at his side ready to take care of him. Diann doted on her family and was always there for them.

Diann is survived by her husband, William Collins; children, Dana Anderson and William (Holly) Collins Jr.; grandchildren, Tiffany Miller, Terra (William “Dusty”) Fowler, Casey (Marc) Lundberg, Joshua Collins, and Mikayla Collins; great grandchildren, Makenzi, Konnor, Ryliegh, Alyssa, Dixie, Cameron, Hailey, Owen, and Maverick; and siblings, Dixie Bogvad and Gordon (Rene) Ledger Jr.

Diann was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jacob Collins; granddaughter-in-law Amanda Collins, great granddaughter, Lily Collins; siblings, Kay (Ralph) Darke and Sally (Dave) Johnson; and brother-in-law, Dale Bogvad.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 13, 2018 from 1pm-3pm at American Legion Post 76 in Ludington. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
