Obituary for Marjorie Ann Peterson

Marjorie Ann  Peterson
Marjorie Eliza Ann (Hull) Peterson, age 97, of Ludington, Michigan, passed away on March 6, 2018 in Ludington. She was born May 25, 1920, the daughter of Alford Sterry Hull and Alice Louise (Beckman) Hull.
Marjorie graduated from Ludington High School in 1937 then married Elmer Olaf Peterson on June 17, 1939 in Ludington.
Marjorie was a busy farm wife and homemaker feeding four boys: Lynn Elmer Peterson, Daryl Kenneth Peterson, Alan Carl Peterson, and Paul Roland Peterson, all of whom survive. Marjorie was active in the Summit Township community and in her church (St Paul United Methodist Church in Riverton), all while working in Gibbs’ apple dumpling business and later in the Clerk’s office of the Mason County Court House in addition to looking after her boys and their growing families.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her sister Mildred Mallory, brother Kenneth Hull and her husband of 65 years, Elmer Peterson. She is survived by her four sons, daughters-in-law Sue Peterson, Laura Peterson and Jane Peterson, grandchildren Jodie Lynn Peterson, Jess Daryl Peterson, Jaye Susan Peterson, David Alan Peterson, Tim Richard Peterson, Amy Boline (Peterson) Dunfee, Eliza Jane Peterson and Carrie Lynn Peterson. In addition, Marjorie is survived by twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be scheduled for early July. Burial will be in Summit Township Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to St Paul Church United Methodist Church.
