Beverly E. Hansen, age 86, formerly of Scottville, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Gaylord, Michigan.
She was born January 17, 1932 in Fountain, daughter of the late Gerald and Ila (Heise) Stewart. She graduated from Scottville High School.
Beverly married Richard Hansen on December 31, 1953, they celebrated 60 years together. Beverly retired from Smith & Eddy Insurance in Scottville and earlier worked for many years at Scott Sport Store.
Beverly loved to spend time with her family and was an active volunteer in her community.
Beverly is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Donald) Nutt of Gaylord and Cindy (James) Kriesel of Owosso; son, Todd (Jaimie) Hansen of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Melissa Gibbs of Gaylord, Lori (Brad) Prince of Alta Monte Springs, FL, Donald (Kimberly) Nutt, II of Gaylord, Brian Kriesel of Traverse City, Jason (Michelle) Kriesel of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Hansen and Richard Hansen of Houston, TX; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Richard Stewart of Show Low, AZ; sister, Vivian Wahr of Muskegon; brother-in-law, George Hansen of Scottville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her sisters, Betty Rahn and Geraldine Slawinksi; in-laws, Robert Rahn, Richard Slawinski, Melvin Wahr, Ethel Stewart, Bertha Stewart, Leslie and Irene Hansen, Charles and Evelyn Hansen, Clarence and Mable Keith, Harold and Doris Hansen, Joyce Hansen, Donald Hansen; and niece, Marjorie Van Duinen.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Scottville. Pastor John Hansen will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Beverly’s name may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church of Ludington.
