Max Packard Lytle, Age 91 of Manistee died Monday evening October 23, 2017 at the Manistee County Medical Care Facility.

He was born on July 26, 1926 in Owosso, MI, son of the late Lawrence & Mary (Nye) Lytle. He attended Owosso High School. Max was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He married Joyce Burl on August 28, 1950 in Angola, Indiana. She preceded him in death on May 10, 2002.

Max was employed in the maintenance department at Midland Ross Corporation of Owosso for 25 years, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and hanging out with his buddies at the Painted Lady for coffee and cookies.

Max is survived by his two daughters; Sherry (Russ) Spencer of Manistee with whom he made his home with the past 15 years, and Teri Hytinen of Grand Rapids, grandchildren; Jamie (Jamie) Tabaczka, Heather (Chris) Banicki, Cory (Ann) Spencer, Aarin Vincent, Shawn Vincent, & Ashleigh Hytinen, great grandchildren; Jalen & Julia Tabaczka, Joey, Braden, Morgan, & Chase Banicki, Shea, Darien, & Jayleanah Vincent, Evyn, Mason, & Janessa Hytinen, and William & Henry Spencer

He was also preceded in death by a great grandson; Cameron Hytinen.
