Joanne C. Niemiec, age 83 of Ludington passed away on August 7, 2017 at Masonic Pathways in Alma.
Joanne was born on July 3, 1934 in Free Soil; daughter of the late Ernest and Bernadine Nelson.
She married Henry J. Niemiec Sr. on June 21, 1952 at St. John Cantius in Free Soil. She worked as an accountant. Her hobbies and interests included horses, gardening, crafts, scrapbooking, going to yard sales and shopping.
She is survived by her husband, and children: Henry (YongSun) Niemiec Jr., Mary (Marty) Tucker, John (Teresa) Niemiec, Missy Niemiec Rosales and Andrea Niemiec; fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Jerry Niemiec and sisters: Ernie, Rita and Carol.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Custer. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a visitation one hour prior to the service at 10:00 A.M.
