O'Hearn
Obituary for Robert George O'Hearn
Robert was born on December 26, 1931; son of late, John T. and Beatrice C. (Carter) O’Hearn. He attended Scottville Schools and later joined the Air Force in 1954. He married his wife Barbara Ferris on February 9, 1955 in Tucson, AZ; she preceded him in death in October of 2004.
Robert worked as a Packaging Engineer for Dow Chemical for thirty years. He was a Life Master at duplicate bridge and enjoyed cribbage, golfing, and playing baseball in his younger years.
He is survived by his sons: Larry, Jim and Roger O’Hearn; grandchildren: Daniel, Jennifer, Ken, Brian, Ryan, Tara and Shannon; great grandchildren: Scarlett, Rosalie and Ayana; close friend: Ethel Pettersch.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of almost 50 years; son: David O’Hearn and brother: Tom O’Hearn.
A funeral service will be held at St. Simon Catholic Church on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. Final interment will take place at Pere Marquette Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Simon Catholic Church or Scottville Clown Band.
