Obituary for Marian Elsie Nephew

Marian Elsie Nephew, 96, of Ludington, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Marian was born on December 8, 1920, in Ludington, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Roberts) Brant. She graduated from Ludington High School in 1939. Marian was wed to Frank “Otis” Nephew on August 10, 1939, they raised two children and she worked as an administrator for Sears from 1955 to 1980. She was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church and volunteered at the Senior Center. Marian enjoyed crocheting, reading, and crossword puzzles.

Marian is survived by her children, Frank Nephew and Lucy Nephew; grandchildren, Scott and Kevin Nephew; great grandson, Zachary Nephew; and siblings, Margie Dewyer, Carol Dewyer, John Dewyer, Thomas Dewyer, and Raymond Dewyer.

Preceding Marian in death are her parents, husband, and siblings Robert Dewyer and Lois Setterbo.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Simon Catholic Church, with visitation starting at 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Simon Food Pantry.
