Flora Nell Babcock, age 90 of Ludington passed away peacefully on July 31, 2016 at Tendercare of Ludington.
She was born October 4, 1925 in Atlanta, GA to the late T.C. and Viola (Welch) Barton.

Flora attended Eastern Michigan University, earning her master’s degree in education. She married Bertram C. Babcock on July 12, 1946 at Mt. Olivet Church in Dearborn. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1999.

She was employed as a teacher in Dearborn Public Schools for grades 1-12. Flora was a longtime member of Cherry Hill United Presbyterian Church.

She had a love for quilting.

Flora is survived by her sons; William (Louise) Babcock and John Babcock, grandchildren; Jessica Babcock, Aimee Fallon, Erin Rolling and Hank (Anne) Goransun, also four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son; James L. Babcock.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held by the family at a later date.
