Obituary for Harriette O'Connor

Harriette  O'Connor
Harriette O’Connor, Age 87 of Brighton, formerly of Brethren died Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti.
She was born on February 4, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of the late William H. & Sara Anne (Latter) Bamfield. She was a 1946 graduate of Hale High School, graduated from cosmetology school in l958, and from the McPherson School of Nursing in l971. She married Jeremiah O’Connor on October 25, 1946 in Glennie, Michigan.
Harriette was employed as a nurse for several years, retiring in l990. She was member of the Lakeview Church of the Brethren in Brethren and the VFW Auxiliary South Lyon Post #1224. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, baking, her church, and time with family and friends. Other interests included birds, & flowers/gardening.
Survivors include her husband; Jeremiah O’Connor, two children; Jerry J. (Randy) O’Connor and Margaret Peresin, three grandchildren, Molly, Sean, & Kirk, 4 great grandchildren; Madison, McKenzi, Kelsie & Tyler, 2 great great grandchildren; Adrelynne & Asannaliese, & a sister-in-law: Marlene Bamfield
She was also preceded in death by two brothers; Richard & William Bamfield, and sister and brother-in-law; Donelda and Walter Willert.
Memorial Services for Harriette O’Connor will be held at the Lakeview Church of the Brethren in Brethren on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1:00PM with Joe Wave officiating. Final interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
