Condolence From: Linda DeVries Smith
Condolence: I don't even know where to begin with how my heart aches to lose (dad)Earl. Earl has been a long time family friend since the 60's. In fact Earl lived with my mom and dad for awhile. My mom was pregnant for me and Earl got to hold me when I was born, instantly there was a bond formed, from that point on Earl always considered me a daughter as I did my second dad. Him and Katy always made sure they checked on me and my family always. After I lost my dad Dutch (ron) they always made sure my family was ok. I remember when I found out Earl was sick and I went to visit him in the hospital in TC. The look on his face was priceless, he started crying and said oh my god kid! We cried together for quite some time with no words. He told me he always loved me as a daughter. I truly will miss him a lot. But I know that he is Heaven playing cards with my dad like they used to in the pool hall. Prayers are with the Spaulding family.

Condolence: Earl was a good man and would give you the shirt off his back. Him and Katy helped us in so many ways when we were young and starting out. We spent many deer seasons in the woods near Walhalla and the biggest thing I remember about deer hunting is Earl would start puking if he had to field dress his deer. He was a hoot to be around and sorely missed by those who knew him.
