While landscaping his yard, Robert Dombrouski, 83, of Fountain, suffered a major stroke.

Bob left us, on May 24, 2018, to join his 3 grandchildren, Megan Dombrouski, Eric Dombrouski and Cody Smith. He was reunited with his twin brother Richard; brothers, Frank and Stanley; and sister, Ann.

Missing him dearly are Bob's 3 daughters, Jacqueline Johnson of Fountain, Cynthia L Sischo of Indian River, Tina Miller of Freesoil; his son-in-law Ronald Sischo, who was the son Bob never had; 3 sisters, Marcella Klokowski of Grand Rapids, Theresa Mize of Midland and Rosemarie Lardner of Columbia, SC.; sister-in-law, June Dombrouski of Irons; his best friend and ex-wife, Dolores Dombrouski of Onaway; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Ronald Rathbun of Scottville; Bob's sole mate and companion of 20 years, Bernice Kurtz, of Manistee; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

As with many born and raised in Mason/Lake county, Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman, all around outdoor sportsman. His passion was The Farm: his birthplace and his final resting place.

A Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Custer with Rev. Daniel DePew presiding. Visitation will begin one hour prior to Mass. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 5 – 7 pm at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington.
