Brian Robert Tibbot, age 87, of Ludington, MI, formerly of Federal Way, WA, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018. Brian was born May 4, 1930 in Harvey, IL to Richard and Elizabeth (Coutchie) Tibbot. He graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma, WA in 1948. Brian enlisted in the US Navy and served his country from 1948 through 1949. After his honorable discharge, Brian attended the University of Washington, where in 1955 he received his bachelor’s degree in Architectural design.
Brian worked for Alcoa for 35 years as an Architectural Salesman. He was also a general contractor and designed and built homes.
Brian enjoyed boating, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was passionate about fishing.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Marilyn Wendell, his daughter, Linda (John Robertson) Tibbot of Bellingham, WA, his sons, Roger (Kirstin) Tibbot of Sammamish, WA and Richard (Amber) Tibbot of Milton, WA, stepson Steve (Deb) Wendell of Downers Grove, IL, stepdaughter Laura Wendell of Naperville, IL, and his brother, David Tibbot of Thailand. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cousins.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elizabeth Tibbot, and stepdaughters Diane Wendell and Cheryl Wendell.
The family would like to express their gratitude for all the loving attention his caregivers provided over the last nine months of Brian’s life.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and Celebration of Life services are being planned for this summer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Oak Grove Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Ludington.
