Obituary for Kathryn Louise Barnett

Kathryn Louise Barnett
Kathryn Louise Barnett, age 76, of Branch, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018.

Kathryn was born on March 2, 1942 in Highland Park, the daughter of William and Naomi (Ringman) Worden. She graduated from Edsel Ford High School in 1960 and attended Michigan State University. Kathryn married Bernard H. Barnett on October 28, 1968. She worked as a secretary for Cadillac Motors for several years, until staying home to raise her son, Benjamin. Kathryn was a wonderful mother who actively participated in her son’s upbringing. She was an excellent cook and created a fairytale life for her family.

Kathryn loved music and dancing with her husband. They were members of a dance club in Muskegon and would always attend their monthly dances. In later years, she enjoyed relaxing on the porch and watching the Pere Marquette River flow by.

Kathryn is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bernard Barnett; son, Benjamin (Heidi) Barnett; step-children, Vince (Sally) Barnett, Kal (Kris) Barnett, and Shawn (Rich) Davidian; grandchildren, Bridgette and Kyle Barnett; step-grandchildren, Andrew (Lisa) Barnett, Daniel (Emily) Barnett, Thomas (Jacki) Barnett, Phillip Davidian, and Joseph Davidian; brother, Bill Worden; nephew, Steven Worden; niece, Julie Worden-Sweet; 5 step-great grandchildren, and one on the way.

There are no services planned at this time.
