Joan Noreen Kalisch, age 63, of Ludington, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018.
Joan was born on July 11, 1954 in Manistee, the daughter of Chester and Lorraine (Socher) Overdorf. Joan attended Freesoil School and graduated from Dunes Adult Education. She was a very caring mother who provided unconditional love and protection to her family. Joan loved cooking for her family, taking walks on the beach collecting shells and beach glass, and spending time with her family.
Joan is survived by her husband, Richard Kalisch Jr.; children, Lee Allen Bates, Christopher (Melissa) Kalisch, Ryan Bates, and Tara Bates; brother, Gary Overdorf; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her precious dogs, Gypsy, Bubba, Ricky, Rocko, and Pokie.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Lorraine Overdorf; and siblings, Rondell Socher, Calvin Overdorf, and Robert Overdorf.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00 am at Community of Christ in Ludington. A benefit dinner will be held on April 15, 2018 from 1-6 pm at Sherman Township Hall.
