Mary Chavella Saucedo, age 59 left her beautiful life here on earth with her family by her side on March 13, 2018. Only moments later though, she was welcomed by many loving friends, family and her Lord Jesus in Heaven. She was born September 20, 1958 in Chicago to Arthur and Viola B. Mendez.
Chavella was a special soul who impacted the lives of many people. She was an inspiration until the very end, naturally out lasting her prognosis of six short months to twenty one months. With that time Chavella was able to fully live, love completely, continued helping others and so much more. A true warrior until the end.
She saw beauty in the simple things in life, you could often find her embracing the peace and quiet of a long country drive with her husbands hand lovingly holding hers. She showed her love by cooking, baking, creating one of a kind crocheted pieces for loved ones, and by dedicating selflessly to others, including most recently, our veterans. One of her greatest joys in life was cuddling her three grandchildren, Camilla, Denver and Penelope while enjoying a good cartoon, cozy in bed. The three of them were truly the twinkles in her eyes.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 38 years, Arturo Saucedo who she called her rock, the love of her life and her honeybunch. Her children Andrew, Monica, Viola and Chavez will forever cherish the lessons learned and love shared with their wonderful mother. Chavella welcomed Kenny, Logan and their families into her life with loving arms after they married her daughters.
Chavella was blessed with two sisters and seven brothers who will greatly miss being able to experience life together. Lydia Mendez, Esther Mendez,
Arturo (Gloria) Mendez, Arthur (Andre) Mendez, Albert Mendez, Edward (Kathy) Mendez, Richard (Maria)Mendez, Samuel Mendez, and Angelo(Angela) Mendez.
She was a wonderful sister to her husband's family as well; Socorro (Leo) Bermea, Terry Saucedo, Janie (Edward) Mendez, Robert (Irene) Saucedo, and Mary Lou (Armando) Flores.
Chavella was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Viola Mendez and Father and Mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arturo and Janie Saucedo.
