Karla Kay Battice, age 62, of Walhalla, died peacefully on January 24, 2018.

Karla was born on September 28, 1955 in Custer, the daughter of Robert F. and Marian Battice. She was a true fighter and her family meant everything to her. Karla was a member of The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians of Manistee.

Karla will be greatly missed by her 2 children, Roberta (Mike) Davis and Robert (Alicia Grant) Battice, all of Walhalla; 3 sisters, Donna (Bobby) Morris of Florida, Doreen (Ted) McDaniel of Baldwin, and Pebbles (Arnold) Malstrom of Custer; 1 brother, Dana Bosman of Hart; 9 grandbabies, Jonathan and Olivia Davis, Tammmy (Tyler) McKinnon, Ashlee (Stephan) Wever, Amya, Justin, Justice, Nevaeh, and Kadyn Battice; 2 great-grandbabies, Serenity and Sariyah Stever; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Karla was preceded in death by her parents, Robert F. and Marian Battice; and 3 sisters, Martha, Geraldine, and Dynah.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 1-4 pm at the Community Center of The Little River Band in Manistee. Memorial contributions may be made to the family: Roberta Davis.
